Research and Clinical Trials

In addition to providing compassionate patient care, our clinicians are committed to advancing the field of neurology through clinical research. Clinical trials are vital research studies that are necessary for determining whether discoveries made in basic science research laboratories are effective for improving patient care.

Patients who come to the Department of Neurology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center have access to a range of clinical trials evaluating new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches: See current clinical trials

Brain and Mind Research Institute

Weill Cornell Medical College (WCMC) has established the Brain and Mind Research Institute. The BMRI is directed by Dr. Costantino Iadecola, the Anne Parrish Titzell Professor of Neurology and Neuroscience.  The core mission of the BMRI is to advance the recognition and treatment of brain disorders by elucidating their fundamental mechanisms, and translating these advances into novel preventive and therapeutic strategies for neurological patients.  Please visit the Brain and Mind Research Institute for more information.
